Restored & Upgraded 1973 Mercier Road Bike - 58cm (Used)

Selling a 1973 Mercier road bike in stunning condition. It rides beautifully and the powder blue paint with white lugs and polished chrome pieces gets compliments from strangers almost every time I take the bike out!

This is a French randonneur-style bike in 58cm (seat tube c-c) frame size with original Simplex groupset and Mafac brakes, designed for touring the French countryside and riding on city streets in comfort and style.

The bike has been fully restored and upgraded about a year ago and has been ridden less than 100km since, so all upgraded components/accessories are essentially brand new. Bike bell in photos not included. These upgrades include:

• Brooks B15 Swallow leather saddle

• Brooks handlebar tape

• Velo Orange polished steel fenders

• Velo Orange Constructeur front rack

• Nitto Technomic stem

• Nitto Noodle handlebar

• Panaracer Pasela 27 x 1.25 tires and new tubes

• Jagwire brake & shifter cables and housings

• Kool Stop brake pads

• Polished aluminum seatpost (seat post shown in pics is the old seatpost, new one has much better single bolt clamp)

There are also some pretty special ORIGINAL items included with this bike:

• Tornade Solibloc frame pump with French colour grip

• Authentic vintage 1970s powder blue vinyl pannier (hooks onto front rack)

-Original booklet from Bloor Cycles, written by the store with the exact date and time of purchase (April 5, 1973 at 4:45pm)

-Authentic vintage 1970s dynamo front light with upgraded super bright LED bulb (light not installed as it doesnt fit with the front rack, but you could probably figure out a way if youre mechanically savvy).
