Description:
Up for grabs is a size L Pivot Mach 4 SL in Aqua Blue with an Orange Fox 34 Factory fork. All accesories included: Headset, rear axle, seat clamp, derailleur hanger, fox lockout and a Sram DUB bottom bracket.
Im the original owner of this frame and it has been my primary bike over the past few years. I own a private MTB repair shop and miticulously maintian my equipment; needless to say, this frameset was babied. The frame and fork are in amazing cosmetic and functional shape, with only a handfull of surface level dings that dont affect riding performance or structural integrity. Headset/Bottom bracket bearings feel great, and the fork/shock had a 70 hour service done on them last month.
As far as riding ability - this is a phenomenal all around bike that is capable of ripping up a XC race course, going on bikepacking trips and spending long days in the downcountry. It is set up 120/100mm and I opted for taking of the front remote lockout to keep the front end of the bike always compliant. While keeping the rear lockout a finger lengths away for climbs/flats, and jump to action on any tech/downhill. The bike is super nimble and I primarly used it on XC trails in central Texas, with occasional ventures out of state. I raced it twice, and it has seen 4 spills in its lifetime.
Worst damage on the frame was caused by a poor limit screw adjustment, from which the chain popped into the frame and scrubbed away at some of the paint. This happened in week two of building the bike and Ive ridden it since with absolutely no change in how it was from the beggining. Had 2 shops and a carbon repair guy check it out for reassurance and they told me not to worry about it.
Beyond that, there was one chain drop which resulted in some damage near the chainring area. Once again, cosmetic.
My riding style has drastically changed while owning this frame and I have finally made the switch to the 429 older sibling. Would be stoked to see this Frameset get a second life. Last photo shows how I had it built up.
Feel free to reach out with any questions, need for more photos or if you have a reasonable offer in mind.
