Perfectly built Litespeed Vortex (Used)

Litespeed Vortex - This frame was made until 2001, this particular one is a 1999 that has been stored almost its entire life.

Perfect build, left unused.

Back in the day, I built my dream bike. Fast forward to today, and Ive come to the point where I need to sell my dream bike that sits unridden - as Ive been living across the world and cant take the bike with me.

It really pains me to post this, but I have ridden my bike (stored in the SF Bay area) two times in the past ten years. I think thats a sign that it needs to find a better home.

For what its worth, I spent thousands of dollars and a lot of time constructing the perfect build.

This is a special build and anyone that has ridden a 6/4 titanium bike (or this particular one) can confirm that they are very, very fast and responsive Tour de France winning frames.

The frame and all components are all between good - excellent condition

The frame and cranks were protected in helitape, probably needs a refresh, but outside of that and decals this frame is very clean.

• This was the most expensive bike Litespeed produced at the time.

Ive built it up as follows:

DT Swiss R1.1s with 240 hubs & Maxxis Re-fuse 25 tires

Shimano 7800 - Full group, minus wheels, very good condition (slight peeling of the finish) typical of shimano of this era, nothing too bad…

Thomson Stem

Easton EA 90 Carbon Seatpost - cut short to reduce weight.

Fizik Arione - seat has a tear, still usable.

What youre getting: An extremely rare, beautiful and fast frame, made of material that most people never get to ride, with top-of-the line/ perfect complementary (and period correct) components - all on a build that has literally been stored since day one.

The hand-built wheelset is smooth, hubs and group set crisp; the frame snappy and extremely responsive. The frame has had two owners, I bought it from a collector in California more than ten years ago.
