2020 Trek Fuel EX 9.9 XL (Used)

2020 Trek Fuel EX 9.9 which came with the X01 groupset. The bike link is below:

I bought this bike from another forum member in mid 2021, he had less than 200 miles on it and the mechanic who inspected it said it looked like it only been on gravel trails. Ive put about 500 miles on it and this was my first real bike, so many of those were green or green blue trails. Its never been to a bike park, jump line, or lift-access downhill park.

Modifications from stock:

-Tires are Maxxis DHR and DHF as opposed to the stock Bontragers XR4 Teams

-Seatpost to a 185mm drop BikeYoke from the 170mm Bontrager dropper (which left a lot to be desired….)

-Grips are from my new bike, a 2023 Evil Offering

Recent service:

-Replaced cassette ~100 miles ago, X01 silver/black

-Replaced chain - XX1 Gold with ~300 miles on it. Always waxed with UFO Drip

-Fork and shock have both been serviced by DirtLabs in Longmont, CO. Stanchions are perfect.

Rear bleed completed when the rear caliper was replaced, 0 miles on bleed

Other things of note:

-Sizing: Treks site lists the XL frame as fitting 62 and up, Trek themselves and everyone I talked to said that these bikes run very small and recommended the XL for ~60 and up. Im 61 with a +1 reach and normal leg length and the bike fit me well, Ive just learned that I prefer to be on the larger side of a smaller frame than the smaller size of a larger frame.

-This bike is no longer ridden, so it will look like it does in these pictures until sold.

-I wrapped the bike and fork with Helicopter tape myself after ~5miles of riding. Some of my work leaves a little to be desired aesthetically but the tape works wonderfully and I wont remove it until the bike is sold. Nearly all of the paint chips you see in the pictures are under that tape and were from picked-up rocks from the previous rider. Apparently Treks paint is known to chip easily.

-The rear XT M8120 brake caliper is brand new, never ridden on trail.

The bike has been adult-owned by a Mechanical Engineer/wannabe bike mechanic and maintained very well. Priced well below any similar bikes in the country on Pinkbike (to the guy who posted one at $7100, good luck with that…). Not interested in any trades. Will ship at the owners expense only.
