2018 Trek Fuel EX (Used)

Hey, do you like to rip up the trails but need a reliable and reasonably priced bike with modern geometry?! Well hold on to your flat brimmed hats because I have the bike for you. Full aluminum frame (like an airplane), upgraded dropper post (Race face turbine R), Slack-R head set angle set reducer (more on this later). The bike was originally sold as a 27.5+ bike but that fade is over so I swapped over to new Bontrager comp 30 29ers and maxxis DHF and Aggressor tires. Nows a good time to talk about geometry, remember that Slack-R thing? It reduces the head angle by 1.6 to make the bike more slack without affecting the rest of the geometry. With the Slack-R the current head angle is 65.5 with the flip chip in high and 65.0 in low. The bike is sized as a 21.5 which is a XL for trek however, the reach is 487 mm which is perfect for a modern size large. For reference Im 61 and it fits me perfectly. Other highlights, the chainstay is 432 mm which makes the bike peppy and playful. The bottom bracket height is around 338mm which keeps you low without peddle strikes. Perfect for Edmontons rooty trail system.

Its a great bike, climbs like a beast, descends like a beast, rips like a beast, its a beast! Id keep it but Im going through a mid life crisis so its time for a younger model.
