2018 Pivot Switchblade, Sz Large w/ 29 WR1 carbon wheels (Used)

High-Quality custom build on this 2018 V1 Switchblade. A solid quiver-of-one bike, set up to be poppy and playful and durable. It doesnt have fancy components just to be fancy, but many many upgrades where it counts (carbon wheels, 4-pot brakes, carbon cranks, Grip2 damper, etc.)

The bike has been well-used, and well-loved. Everything is mechanically sound, but the frame (particularly the chainstays, driveside seatstay, and back of the seat tube), fork lowers, and wheels have scratches and chips in the carbon from riding, all of which are clearly shown in the photos. The bike started as a XT/XTR Pro build from Pivot, but many changes have been made over the last 5 seasons (original specs are here: https://www.vitalmtb.com/product/guide/Bikes,3/Pivot/Switchblade-PRO-XT-XTR-1x-29,22246). The bike has been regularly serviced at Over the Edge in Fruita throughout its lifetime, including annual shock/fork service. Service records are available from me upon request.

Bike ships with everything shown in the photos, with the exception of the pedals and waterbottle cage. Buyer pays shipping. I will pay to have the bike professionally boxed for shipment at Over the Edge in Fruita.

Notes:

1. Bike was fully serviced/overhauled in December 2022. This included new frame bearings throughout, as well as full service on the fork and dropper, wheel truing, and general service throughout. No shock service, the shock is new (see note 3).

2. Wheels are custom-built 29 We Are One Agents (30mm) laced to DT350 hubs with the 54-tooth star ratchet upgrade. Minor scuffs, especially on the rear wheel, but no damage, no repairs, etc. The wheels have been flawless for years, other than a couple broken spokes which did not require re-truing

3. The bike originally shipped with a Fox X2. I replaced it with a new Factory DPX2 a few months ago. The shock has approximately 200 miles on it.

4. The drivetrain is a 28-tooth oval RF Cinch and NextR 175mm cranks mated to a XT derailleur and 46-tooth 11-speed cassette. The chain, chainring, and cassette were replaced less than 50 miles ago, so the drivetrain is essentially new. There is a MRP AmG chainguide and bashguard installed on the ISCG-05 tabs.

5. The fork is a Factory 36 with the Grip2 damper upgrade. Original to the bike, serviced annually. It has typical scratches on the lowers, but the stanchions and performance are perfect. There is a slight creak in the CSU.

6. Cockpit is mostly original to the bike, with Pivot bar/stem/grip combo (760mm bar and 55mm stem). The brakes have been upgraded to XT 4-piston brakes with Ice-Tech rotors.

7. Dropper is a 150mm Fox Transfer.

8. The V1 Switchblade came with a 17mm headset cup that was designed to be used when running 27.5 wheels to adjust geometry. This bike ships with that headset cup installed. I prefer to ride the bike with 29 wheels AND the cup, which raises/slackens the front end slightly.

9. A couple years ago, I put a small crack in the rear triangle by dropping the seatstay on a rock. The entire frame was returned to Pivot, where a new rear triangle was installed, new bearings, and the whole frame was factory-checked for alignment. Its been ridden without issue since. So the front triangle is about 5 years old now, but the rear triangle only has a couple seasons on it.

10. Custom frame-protection wrap was installed on the bike when new. Some of the photos show scuffs and marks in the wrap.

11. NEW updates since photos: I blew the front brake lever, so now that is a brand new XTR lever instead of the old XT shown. I also replaced the saddle shown with the original Pivot-branded WTB Vigo Race.

12. The bike will also ship with all the additional bits I still have (a spare derailleur hanger, replacement cable port covers, spare crank boots, bleed block for the brakes, etc).

Honestly, this bike is very dialed for rough rowdy trail riding. Everything is well used, but well-maintained and high quality. Questions welcome.
