2018 Giant Reign 2 - Fox Elite, i9 Hydra, XT, Cascade Link (Used)

Giant Reign 2, 27.5 for sale! I’ve really enjoyed this bike over the past several years, but it’s time to pass it on to the next shredder. This bike is dialed for PNW riding, with many upgrades. Never raced, thrashed, or crashed hard. I’ve taken great care of the bike, and it shows.

I’m the second owner of this Reign. The first owner won it in a raffle and only rode it only a handful of times. I purchased it in 2019 and upgraded the bike over time. This was my primary bike for two years and then shared time with others.

RAD: 32.8

RAAD: 61.5 deg.

Wheelbase: 1242mm

Rear center: 439mm

HTA: 64.5 deg (64.0 with 170mm fork).

Weight: 34.9lb with pedals

Im 6 with 34 inseam and the bike fits me perfectly.

Build:

• 160mm Fox 36 Performance Elite fork with GRIP2 damper (170mm air spring also available). Higher mileage, but lowers have been looked after. Damper untouched so far.

• Cascade Components rocker/linkage (stock link comes with). Fun fact: This was the development frame for the link!

• Fox DPX2 205x62.5mm (DXF8 tune ID, from ‘19 Reign Advanced). No volume spacer installed, which is a great match with the CC link. ~75mi since complete rebuild by Fox.

• Rimpact mixed inserts. I love these inserts.

• Schwalbe 2.6” Magic Mary front, Big Betty rear. Soft compound with trail casing. Plenty of life left in tires.

• Stan’s Flow Mk3 / Industry 9 Hydra wheelset. Disclaimer: There’s a small crack in the rear rim that I’ve ridden for hundreds of miles. I’ve had no issues holding tension/shape.

• XT 4-piston brakes (BL-M8100 / BR-M8020). Metallic pads and 203mm rotors in great shape.

• XT 11-speed, 11-46T XT cassette. SRAM 32T ring on Praxis cranks (30T Praxis ring - steel - comes with bike)

• Alloy 800mm bars (30mm rise, 5/8° sweep). RaceFace 45mm reach, 8mm rise stem (6° up).

• Crank Brothers Stamp 7 Large pedals (negotiable in/out of purchase).

• WTB Volt saddle, M, CrMo rails.

• 30.9x150mm Brand-X dropper. No issues!

• Frame protection throughout.

Additional buys:

• Rockshox Super Deluxe Ultimate Coil 205x65mm & Sprindex 530-610lb spring; 50hr on it. $400 package or $325 without spring. Brings rear travel closer to 170mm.

• Hydra XD freehub/driver with pawls; excellent condition. $110.

• Shimano PF BB (if you want to convert to Shimano cranks. $15.

Components are somewhat negotiable, too. For example, I can knock some money off to sell without the wheelset, etc.

Price is firm, as the sum of parts is greater than asking price.
