2015 Giant Defy Advance Pro 0 XL / 61cm (Used)

Thoroughly modernized 2015 Giant Defy Advance Pro 0 hydraulic disc 11spd Di2 endurance bike in size XL (stack 623mm reach 398mm, sort of 60-61cm range). 110mm stem and 175mm cranks fits me perfectly at 63.

Groupset:

Replaced stock Di2 RD-6870-GS rear derailleur (max 32T cog) with an RX-805 to clear an 11-34 cassette (CS-HG800-11). Added the Bluetooth/ANT+ module (EW-WU111) to connect to cell phone or head unit, as well as cleaned up the stock under-stem zip-tie mounted junction with a bar-end junction box (EW-RS910). Updated stock battery (SM-BTR2 to BT-DN110-A) to enable syncro-shift and the wireless module.

Braking:

Improved braking by replacing the stock quick release & post mount fork with a color matched ~2021 Defy through axle & flat mount fork. This allows for a 160mm front rotor with current series flat mount caliper (BR-R8170) w/ additional 10% rotor clearance. The stock fork is 140mm post mount, which is too small for an XL frame and the grade of (down)hills we have around here. Front discs on quick release axles would commonly rub after heavy braking, this update solves all of that. SM-RT800 centerlock disc rotors have ~1.77mm remaining.

Wheels & tires:

Replaced stock 6-bolt alloy wheels with a bombproof set of Zipp 303s centerlock tubeless straight-sided carbon wheels. These are fast and require no maintenance, and the modern 23mm inner width work great with the new 28mm Continental GP5000S TR tires designed for modern straight-sided rims. End caps included for both QR & through axle configurations front and rear.

Contact points:

New Giant Contact SLR D-Fuse 440mm carbon bars wrapped with unused Zipp Service Course tape. Includes an unused Giant Contact Neutral saddle and no pedals.

Cosmetics:

This bike has an amazing matte over raw UD weave carbon finish with understated gloss details and the 303s wheels match it perfectly - everything moves in the sunlight and fades to black at night. There is one paint chip on the down tube right side GIANT logo, and one on the fork left side DEFY logo. There is also a small scratch through the finish on the rear wheel.

Power:

Add an extra $200 for a matching Stages left-side crank power meter.

All components have hours/miles tracked via Pro Bike Garage and I can supply lifetimes and service intervals on request. Overall I put 5100mi on the bike; many of the parts are newer than that and some are unridden. The bike is 7.97kg / 17.6lbs as pictured.

Only selling because my girlfriend wants to do more gravel cycling, and it seems silly to have both an endurance and gravel bike.
