2011 Trek Madone 6.7 SSL H2 (Used)

I bought this bike in 2011 for $6,820. The 6.7 SSL was near the top end of the Madone family, complete with all Dura-Ace components. I rode the bike a few times a week for the rest of the fall of 2011 and for the spring of 2012. Then I got cancer and started chemotherapy. That was the beginning of the end of my riding for several years. After not riding the bike for several years I thought about selling it, but was disheartened by the hit I would take on the price. Well, I’m finally ready to part with it.

The bike is in excellent condition. It weighs 15.8 lbs and is a joy to ride. It is made from OCLV2 SSL carbon, and has a 10-speed Dura-Ace drivetrain. The wheels are Bontrager Raxe X Lite and it has a 53/39 Dura-Ace double crank. The cables are internally routed and the shifting is 10 speed Dura Ace STI. I can’t say the bike is in “new” condition, but it is in excellent condition. It has never been crashed, but it does have a replacement fork. I had some trouble with my fork mount bike rack and both dropouts were damaged. I bought the replacement fork from Trek and it is made of the same carbon as the rest of the frame. The dropouts on the new fork I think are better than the original, because they are reinforced.

If you are looking for a race bike that is light and quick, with the best components, this bike is for you. It doesn’t have disc brakes, nor does it have electronic shifting. What it does have are some of Shimano’s best components, and did I mention that it weighs 15.8 lbs.
