2008 Trek 520 - SX/17” - Titanite Black - like new (Used)

The Trek 520 is the longest-running model in Treks line. Made since 1983, it’s the only chromoly steel frame bike left in its lineup. Steel is real.

This 2008 Trek 520’s Titanite Black finish still sparkles in the sunlight. I had it serviced by my local Trek dealer to be sure and all is good. Drivetrain and tires show almost no wear. I got this bike in rural Saskatchewan figuring to use it for parts on my main 3x9 tourer but it’s too nice for that and is too small for me so I’m selling it. It should probably go to someone in the 5’2”-5’4” height range.

All parts are original and according to spec (per Trek’s Archive), except the front derailleur which has been upgraded from a Tiagra to a 105 and the Shimano M520 clipless pedals that were traded out for toe clip pedals, likely at time of purchase.

Not just a classic touring bike, the Trek 520 also works great as a gravel bike. I recently did a 900 km tour on gravel and 5 of the 9 bikes to finish that tour were Trek 520’s. Steel is real.
