2008 MARIN WOLF RIDGE II CUSTOM BUILT or aka WHITE BIKE (Used)

This is Marin Wolf Ridge II 140 Quadra Link full suspension CUSTOM BUILT mountain bike. (The Quadra Link suspension is 4 links fully independent suspension system!)

Size Medium — 17.5 inches seat tube.

Those bike are also known under the name White bikes (mainly in UK).

It is very important to point out also that those bikes were designed by Formula 1 engineer John White.

This bike is 2008 and fortunately that year there was no cutting corners when those bikes were designed and built. All the tube of this bike’s frame are hydroformed!

It’s obvious that the high pivot design is very beneficial in weather conditions like those in UK, specifically for the longevity of the suspension bearings, but now the new trend of high pivot bikes, has shown that there are other benefits as well, which obviously wasn’t hard to see even back then if you were a Formula 1 engineer.

The Wolf Ridge II model is designed not just to be a proper trail/all mountain bike that can climb as well as it can descend, but that bike was also designed with the idea of being, as Marin bikes calls it, a “Pocket DH Bike”!

That’s why the bike has 20mm trough axle on the Rockshox PIKE fork. The rear trough axle is 12mm.

THE COMPONENTS ON THIS BIKE:

This bike now has a NEW CUSTOM 2x9 Drivetrain.

The cassette is 11-46T and the chainrings are 22T and 32T.

On the 46T gear in the rear and 22T chainring on the front, you get better pedaling ratio (it’s easier to pedal), than the ratio between the new and expensive sram 52T cassette and a 26T chainring. So that bike can be pedaled anywhere with ease!

And to improve even farther the pedaling performance the bike now has a NEW DROPPER SEAT POST!

And since this bike was designed to be able to pedal, of course there is a switch on the shock to allow you to stiffen the shock by put it in pedaling mode.

All the cables and cables housing are also NEW!

Since this bike is also a pocket DH bike, which means that the speeds can get pretty high, obviously it needs to be able to stop.

And to that job, now the bike has AVID CODE 4 pistons caliper brakes with NEW Trickstuff brake pads, which gives you 18% more power. The modulation of those brakes is pretty well known, as being probably still the best out there.

The bike has BRAND NEW 200mm Sram rotors on the front and on the rear!
