2007 Eddy Merckx EXM 53cm (Used)

Provenance: this frameset is the last bike designed by Eddy Merckx (before the sale): it was hand constructed in Italy and painted in Belgium. It served as a the Pro Tour frame for Lotto at the time, and its the last of its kind.

In 2017, I bought this new old stock frameset and swapped a Record 11-speed groupset onto this bike, bought a set of Mavic SSC 1295 gram wheelset, and have enjoyed it ever since. She slotted in nicely between a cross bike and a dedicated touring bike. This bike rides like a dream…but with nine bikes in the stable and a new gravel bike build in the works, she has to go.

• Campagnolo 11 speed Record shifters, brakes, crankset

-Mavic SSC Exalith wheels (1295 grams) This wheelset has a textured (Exalith) brake track for vastly improved braking. Two sets of spare pads included.

-Ritchey WCS carbon stem and bars

-Nokon Housing

-50/34 x 11-32 cassette; Wolf Tooth Road Link (better shifting w/larger cassette)

-YBN chain (currently waxed) almost no wear (see image)

-Replaced the chainrings and front derailleur cage 3,000 kilometers ago

-Specialized Turbo S-works tires; latex tube
