Description:
Meet the catch that hasn’t been caught.
This was custom built for me in 2006 by the team at Independent Fabrication. In 2020 I treated myself to a new Ultegra 2 x 11 groupset, new Ksyrium wheelset, and new pedals. Sadly, ongoing hip and back issues have kept me from ever returning to drop bar road cycling. This mechanically new, one-of-a-kind Indy Fab has just been hanging in my garage for 2+ years with no rider. It’s not happy. This bike is too beautiful and too comfortable to be locked up next to old baseball cards and camping equipment. It’s seeking a new soul mate that will appreciate the light and fast 853 Reynolds steel frame. Are you that lucky match?
Frame Size:
This is a larger 57cm frame. Please look at standover height. It should fit riders roughly 6-0 to 6-2 (my height). I currently have 1.5 inches in headset spacers. Complete frame measurements below.

Ride History: Ive gotten a few questions about the bikes history. Heres a brief snapshot: 1) 2006-2008 - Sunday morning/coffee shop rides that were 25 miles and under. No centuries. No spills. 2) 2009-2016 - None. I had a kid and my daily rider became my kid hauler - a Kona Minute Cargo Bike. 3) 2016-2020 - bike rides with kid on my upright bar Surly Cross Check; 4) 2020 - a friend motivated me to get back into road riding. So I replaced the groupset and wheelset and then back/hip problems kept me from ever getting back on it. The End.
Condition: Looks and rides like a brand new bike. No rust. No scratches. Glossy, vibrant champagne green & silver paint with original decals & head badge. Has original chainstay and frame protectors. Needs absolutely nothing. New tires, shift cables, and chain have about 10 total miles on them. I have all of the original paperwork from IF.
Please reach out if you have any questions or interest in learning more. If you dont live in Southern California, Im happy to set up a video chat so you can check out the bike. I can also meet up with a local friend/relative of yours who can view this one-of-a-kind bike on your behalf.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers
