2003 Rivendell Rambouillet 1st Generation 56cm (Used)

Incredible, rare, Rivendell Rambouillet, in subtle sparkly orange. This paint work is rare and original.

The bike was built in 2003, and is a first generation, #231. That also explains the Dura Ace/Ultegra nine speed series components. Includes frame pump, flat pedals, and Brooks saddle. It’s a 56cm frame measured center-to-top and is set up for me to ride as you see it pictured. I’m 5’9” and its VERY comfortable: could easily fit a person someone a few inches smaller. I can’t tell you how many miles are on the bike but it didn’t get much use, for most of the time that I have owned it it was one of 10 bikes and I rode almost all of them–this one on rare occasion. It’s in excellent condition: no dents to the anywhere, a few typical paint chips and rubs for a 20y.o. bike, and a few scratches on the top tube that can be touched up or left alone. The tires are 700 x32 (Panaracer Gravel Kings in rare Purple). Bars are freshly wrapped, bearings re-packed, and everything tuned perfectly. This bike is a hoot to ride and so very comfortable. A true classic, made in Japan at the peak of Rivendells history. Bike has custom built Velocity tubeless rims that are capable of light gravel riding. These were built in Oregon by a reputable wheel builder on DuraAce hubs.
