1999 Rock Lobster Signature Road 56cm (Used)

Truly a functional piece of art. This is Rock Lobster Signature Road #191, built by Paul Sadoff in Santa Cruz, CA. in 1999.

56cm, Columbus SLX tubing, fillet brazed with carved Prugnat lugs, dual taper chainstays (note the detailing on the chainstay ends), full Dura-Ace 9100 group set (mechanical, rim brakes), and Ritchey carbon fork. Pedals not included. Total weight as pictured 17.7 lbs.

This bike has been well loved, well ridden, and well maintained. Sadly, after a severe crash descending 5 years ago (bike was undamaged, but I was not), the geometry no longer works with my aging body and the damage from that crash. Looking for a new owner that appreciates the uniqueness of the build, and the quality of the components.

It is the finest bike Ive owned over 50 years of riding, but for me to keep riding it needs to give way and make space for a new bike.
